On March 14, 2019, in close coordination with the DC Metropolitan Police Academy, two Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt instructors (Sean Carow and Chad Malone) provided an introductory Jiu-Jitsu seminar to 22 recruits and officers.

Eric Watson, DC Metro Police Officer, SWAT Team member, and BJJ Purple Belt, coordinated the event and assisted with the instruction. By all accounts the seminar was a huge success and we look forward working with DC Metro PD again whenever they’re ready for us to come back! In the meantime, Capital MMA & Elite Fitness is always accepting students, and we provide discounts to Law Enforcement personnel. Come check out one of our six locations across the DMV!
