On October 23rd, 2017, Sean Emery — owner of Old City CrossFit in Washington DC — contacted Capital MMA about taking Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. Since then Sean has become an integral part of the Alexandria facility’s morning crew. Dial forward to now and earlier today it was announced that “Team Old City” will begin hosting Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes under the Capital MMA flag. Spearheading this is none other than Jarrod Waetjen, long time coach, brown belt, and the architect of our annual Fudoshin Challenge.

Doors will open in early September at 810 H St. NE in Washington, DC. Remember, our policy is pay at one, play at all. So, if you are a member and are interested in dropping by, or training regularly at Team Old City, by all means.
