Capital MMA has invaded Northeast Washington DC! Stop by our newest facility at 810 H St NE, Washington, DC, for regularly scheduled training.

Leading the charge is Jarrod Waetjen and Sean Emery. Jarrod is a brown belt who has been coaching at the Alexandria location for six years. Moreover, he teaches BJJ for the PE department at Howard University.

Sean, a blue belt, is owner and operator of Old City CrossFit. Through his digital marketing acumen, and talent for coaching, he built a CrossFit program that is a fixture in the H street community.

The location has great potential, as it is surrounded by new construction in a community that is a 30 minute metro ride to the nearest BJJ school.

The initial focus of the new location is to offer a consistent schedule that caters to both those who work and/or live in the area. The doors will be open 6:30-7:30 AM, 12:00-1 PM, and 6:30-7:30 PM, Monday through Friday, as well as a Saturday class from 9-10:30 AM. As of now, the schedule will primarily offer classes taught by current Capital coaches (Mough, Waetjen, Kermon, Kalan, Watson, and, in the near future, Ferrari). This will be supplemented by a few open mat sessions in which Sean will be available to work with brand new students.

The long term goal is to develop this new facility into a full Capital MMA location that provides opportunities for our talented coaches to offer options such as a kid’s program, a women’s only Jiu-Jitsu class, Muay Thai and MMA.
